PhotoHunt: Road

A mid-morning drive at the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains in Gatlinburg, Tennessee last April...

Or was it? =]

  1. Oh the misty morning along a country road. Couldn't be more serene.

  2. Looks like a lovely romantic road to be travelling along :P
    Happy Weekend!!!

  3. what feels like the twilight zone to me is lover's lane to some =] it was my first time to drive in the US so it was scary rather than romantic hahaha

    thanks for visiting everyone!

  4. Wow! That's a cool picture. It must be a lovely walk. :)

  5. Wow (taking deep breath) this is an amazing view! I love this shot. :) Nice job. Happy Hunting. You can visit me here.

  6. It looks like the Smokey's. I have driven through there it is so amazing. Your photo captures the beauty of one of the most beautiful places in the US.

  7. The Great Smokey Mountains are the Best!

My great-granddaddy was a conductor on a train. I guess working on a train was a whole lot more common back then than now. We have some of his items used on the train, like the lantern he used. Very interesting!

  8. ECL: i must agree, despite my nerves, it was a great drive. too bad we didn't get the chance to walk though... next time maybe

CWM: thanks! it's one of those serendipitous shots =]

Lucy: it is really lovely out there. i am not that ourdoor-sy a person, but that the mountains were breathtaking is an understatement =]

CGQ: my grandfather, too, was a train engineer! i bet back in the day they had more of these trees and less of the concrete jungle we get lost in nowadays...

    June: thank you =]

  9. Mukha naman sa Sleepy Hollow ito hindi sa Tennessee ;)

  10. What a wonderfully mysterious photo. That must have been a fun ride through those misty woods. I didn't play this time, but I very much enjoyed seeing your entry.
