Start to Finnish (5): More work, less play

Full, busy weeks the next two will be. Currently on week 4 of our 5-week global health course here in Finland. The theoretical/classroom work has ended last Friday with a session at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Helsinki. Then we went on a weekend in Stockholm, and now we're back in Finland for our two-week "practical period"- basically tours of health infrastructures in the country, ranging from the primary health centers, university hospitals, to research and policy-making centers. We're traveling to the eastern part of Finland on Thursday then off to Helsinki on Saturday. Come September 15th, we'll be flying home, with a 6-hour stopover in Amsterdam before heading straight to Manila. I CAN'T WAIT TO BE HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
