Blogs thicker than water (2)

Congratulations to the chosen emerging and influential blogs of 2007! Kudos, too, to Ms. Janette Toral, Internet proprietor and pedagogue, for organizing the writing project. My entries may not have been chosen but they are still rock the blogosphere =]

Here’s a second helping of the scrumptious blogs I frequent and the ingredients that make them such:

For the comics and gaming enthusiasts, Al is your man. And it ought to be fun to track his travails as a newly-minted high school teacher =]

I have learned much from Alex with regard to the art and science of life in the country’s premiere military school. More interesting is how a cadet like himself responds to the trappings that come with the choice of becoming a soldier while retaining an even improving his humanity.

Allan, Ia and I go a loooong way back, a friendship more than a decade and a half old. It’s always a joy to read about their exploits and vicariously go through these with them.

Carlo’s travel blog is a one-stop shop oozing with useful tidbits on how to make the most out of our treks and trips.

Dan and Inkblots are personifications of serendipity, the way they landed in my blog. Since then, I have been reading them with much interest as they blog about their work in community development initiatives.

Doray is taking a path very few have dared tread. Good luck to our new Quezon City Councilor, a feisty and spirited go-getter; I have high hopes for QC with this UP doctor in the city council.

Dr Martin Bautista chronicles days in his life, from being an OFW doctor in the US to his foray in Philippine politics. His insights about Philippine politics and Filipino culture in general have ruffled not a few feathers, stirring passions among his readers.

Fr. Stephen Cuyos is a pioneer in the blogging world and I hope he gets to infect more people with his Happy Faith.

Pepper dishes out a no holds barred detail of her rants and raves about love, professional, and family matters- sometimes in a way that truly reflects the spice that is her namesake, candid but with tact.

http://pinoyblogosphere.wordpress.com/ is a vital link to the known Philippine online writers’ world- especially when I’m too engrossed in my own.

A most talented medical school friend, RG periodically details his life as a doctor Down Under but another friend and colleague Chino provides a more regular fare of medical and migration musings from Australia.

A daily dose of almost anything and everything interesting to Pinoys, Talksmart distills the online world for easier consumption. Many of his choices for Filipino Blog of the Week are, ahem, remarkable reads as well.

To be a lawyer and a Christian at the same time seems contradictory? Read Atty. Ted Te’s blog and discover how these two identities can actually co-exist without turning one into a schizophrenic.

Happy reading! Bon appetit!
