PhotoHunt: Hats

As their reputations precede them, being in their presence is such a joy and a blessing. I am no art critic but seeing the works of Rembrandt (above) and Van Gogh (below) up close, their use of differing styles and colors in their aim to have a unique capture of life is enough to enliven the spirits of the most uncouth and uninterested. Museum-crazy that I am, sans all the other excellent exhibits in the Museum of Modern Art, these hatted portraits make all the walking and jostling through New York City so worthwhile.

And speaking of being mad and hatters, here's a tidbit I picked up when we visited the Savannah History Museum.

Aaaah. Now we know =]

This is a great post! Loved the photos! So now we know why people who made and wore the hats were mad hatters! Mercury!

Kahit ako na walang inkling sa art ay mame-mesmerize kapag nakita ko ang original works ng mga great artists tulad nila Van Gogh at Rembrandt! Isa pang masasabi ko, mahilig sila sa hats :)

I like how you interpreted the theme. I love visiting the Art Institute in Chicago. Seeing the masters up close is a great treat.

Stop by and see my photo hunt if you have time.

Excellent hunting!! I love art.

I'm not a hat person, but I found 'hats' around our home that will work for the hunt. Come on over if you can. I would love to have your company.

Interesting that you were allowed to take photos inside a museum gallery with old paintings inside!

I loved that museum. As a student living in NYC, I went frequently (it had free admission, does it still?).

Very nice photos. I love art.

I did Photo Hunters today, too! Hope you get a chance to visit.

yes, it's indeed a blessing to be able to appreciate up close artifacts from cultures near and far.

it is rather unfortunate though that i haven't been to a Philippine museum in the recent past; i guess it's part of my mentality that i can visit the local museums almost anytime anyway =(

it is a pleasant surprise for me, too, that many museums in Finland, Sweden, and the US allow photography inside their exhibits, as long as no flash is used.

i hope to feature other snapshots from museums' interiors in the future.

thanks for visiting again, everyone!
